On 25th May 2010, the Institute of Certified Auditors of the Republic of Macedonia (ICARM), signed Partnership Agreement with the French Consortium comprised of Compagnie Nationale Des Commissaires Aux Comptes - CNCC and Consel Superieur de l'Ordre Des Experts Comptables – CSOEC. The Partnership Agreement includes cooperation made up of three different areas:
- Formal support by the French Consortium to the ICARM's application for IFAC membership.
- Continuation of implementation of the Quality Control System designed in 2009.
- Transferring and sharing experiences during the development of the ICARM action plan as proposed to IFAC.

The assembly for establishment of the Institute of Certified Auditors of the Republic of Macedonia was held on 27.05.2006. The Statute of the Institute was adopted on the assembly and the Chairman of the Institute was elected, Mr. Antonio Veljanov, certified auditor.
Furthermore, the members of the Management Board were also elected, as well as the members of the Supervisory Board and the committees of the Institute. For the purpose of promotion of high professional standards and for improvement of the quality of the audit services, certified auditors associate within the Institute of Certified auditors, in form of professional Chamber association.
The members of the INSTITUTE are certified auditors, audit companies and certified auditors – individuals. The Institute has the status of a legal entity, with public authorizations as determined within the Law on Audit, the Statute of the Institute, as well as other acts.
